The neglected bird – Crow

crow
I wonder why people consider crow as an ugly bird in the world. It is said “black is beautiful” So crows are also very beautiful birds. Sometimes one can see their feathers shining to the sun rays. I think they are a non-violent and very harmless ones except when they perch on a tree and you stand under it. But even for this there is a omen attached to such droppings. If the droppings take place when one is starting for some important assignment and as luck would have it, if it falls on his back, he will be successful in his mission. Here is another. That is if it falls on an unmarried person he gets married soon. It is also said that when one before starting for a task faces a crow and he offers him grains and the crow accepts these grains, that person succeeds in his task otherwise not. This bird which is in the backyard of every house has such influence on human beings future. It is believed that if the crow perches on someone’s head his life becomes crisis ridden.

I wanted to know whether there is any significance in it’s caws. Do they caw differently at different times. Believe me. somone has made a study n this and he says that crow caws in the morning kuan- kaun tone. But often it gives certain omens with different tones as well. .
(1) Cawing in “Kekan- kekan” tone, the crow informs about the arrival of some clear omen. (2 )Calling in “Koi-koi” tone, the crow hints at some benefit. (3) If a crow calls in “Kren-kren”, the listener will meet a beautiful woman. (4) “Kun-kun” tone shows special benefit, while long drawn call indicates death. (5)”Kolo-kolo” call indicates a fall in the price of cereals. (6) “Kah-kah” call shows help from the ruler. (7) With “Kan-Kan” call crow indicates beneficial coincidence. (8) If a crow calls in “Koin-Koin” tone it hints at the death of the ruler. (9) If the crow calls in “Kron-Kron” tone, the listener gets the blessing of decreased omens in his dreams. (10) “Kekan Kekan” calls of a crow causes panic in the city. (11) If “Kul-Kul” or “Kuloo-Kuloo” or “Kul-Kuloo” call is heard then the listener0 gets new clothes. and last but not the least if the crow caws (12) “Krunnt-Krunnt” it indicate a promotion.

This shows that crows have a special assignment to discharge. That may be the reason why it always flies in those places where human beings live. Do not tell me that they are there because they can pick up their food very easily. That is for their survival so that they can tell the human beings which they ( human beings)cannot see or hear from their two eyes or ears or their brains cannot assist them.

Will it be wrong if one says that crows have their own role to play in the society?! Though they are not as beautiful as the parrots whom we rear by keeping in a cage, the crows are shoed away by people. Perhaps if they had been made as beautiful as the parrots, they would have found it difficult to discharge their role as clairvoyant. People would have misused their talents or they would have used it to ruin their opponents by keeping them in the cages.

Nowadys due to these concrete jungles coming up even in small towns, most of the trees are cut and the crows do not find a place to build their nests. This forces them to ‘migrate’ to villages and thus city dwellers are deprived of this bird. I think something should be done to conserve their clan. I leave it to the readers to decide what type of projects should be taken up for conservation of crows.
Crow-yoga
Before I close let me pay compliments to this bird as in Yoga there is an aasana which is called as Bakasana or crow pose. It is a pose which is done by balancing on hands and arms. This is the first aasana or pose which one tries to learn and perform when one learns Yoga
